Good News Atlanta Church hosted a three-day Bible Seminar from October 19 to 21 with guest speaker Pastor Yeong Kook Park of Good News New York Church.

As the congregation prepared for the seminar, they heard how God had provided the Israelites with everything needed to build the tabernacle when they left Egypt. Encouraged by the faith that God had likewise already given us everything needed for the work of the gospel when we received salvation, the members began reaching out. They personally contacted those with whom they had shared Bible studies and fellowship, and visited and invited those who had heard the gospel through the Tabernacle Exhibition and its follow-up gatherings.

On the first day, many attendees filled the sanctuary. Through Isaiah 55 and the story of Naaman, Pastor Park spoke about setting aside our own thoughts and believing the Word of God. Just as Naaman was cleansed when he laid down his own judgment and accepted God’s Word, Pastor Park emphasized that we, too, must trust God’s declaration that our sins have been forgiven rather than look at our own condition.

On the second day, Pastor Park shared from Acts 15 and Ephesians 2 that salvation comes solely through grace and faith, rather than through human works or effort. Through Hebrews 9 and 10, he explained that Jesus obtained eternal redemption through His own blood in the heavenly sanctuary and, by one offering, perfected us forever.

On the final day, Pastor Park preached from Acts 10—“What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common”—along with Isaiah 53 and Hebrews 2. He shared the gospel of Jesus, who bore all our sins and sanctified us. The attendees heard how faith means accepting the salvation God has accomplished rather than relying on their own thoughts.

After each message, newcomers and the family members, friends, and acquaintances invited by the congregation stayed for personal spiritual counseling with the ministers late into the evening. As they shared more deeply in the Word, they received grace to accept by faith the way of salvation God had prepared.

We were thankful that God brought many people He had prepared and guided us to share the gospel of eternal redemption with them. For those hearing the gospel for the first time, the seminar was an opportunity to discover the complete and eternal salvation Jesus accomplished and the love of God revealed within it. For the congregation, it was a precious time to reaffirm that both salvation and the life of faith rest entirely upon grace and faith. We are filled with hope as we look forward to seeing many more people in Atlanta transformed through God’s Word and established in the gospel.
