Detroit Church Holds Bible Conference at New Building, Experiencing God’s Grace and Guidance

From October 8th to 10th, Detroit Church held a special Bible Conference with Pastor Terry as the guest speaker. The three-day event took place at the church’s newly purchased building, where the congregation will officially relocate in November.

This conference was particularly meaningful as it was held in the new sanctuary even before the official move. Detroit Church recently completed both the sale of its current property and the purchase of the new one. Throughout the preparation process, the church faced several unexpected challenges, but God’s grace was evident at every turn.

At one point, the host church suddenly informed the organizers that the event would have to be canceled. Around the same time, the buyer who had agreed to purchase Detroit Church’s current building withdrew from the contract. However, in a short time, God opened new doors — another buyer appeared, and the sale process resumed smoothly. The host church also had a change of heart, allowing the conference to proceed and even providing generous support for its success.

The new location of Detroit Church is closer to the center of the Metro Detroit area, making it more accessible for the community. Although it was a completely new area for outreach, God worked in amazing ways. Church members distributed “Dear Neighbor” letters to nearby homes, inviting residents to the conference and introducing the upcoming relocation. Many families who received the letters attended the meetings, while others came through university invitations, flyers distributed at local stores, or friends’ recommendations.

Throughout the conference, Pastor Terry preached the gospel under different themes each session, helping listeners clearly understand and establish the message of salvation in their hearts. Many attendees expressed joy that the church was moving into their neighborhood and shared their desire to continue joining services once it officially opens.

In addition to the main sessions, morning meetings were held at a senior apartment complex near the current church. Residents attended eagerly, listening attentively to the Word, and many received the gospel with joy.

Through this conference, God strengthened the faith and unity of the Detroit Church congregation, filling them with renewed hope and gratitude. As the church prepares to relocate next month, the members look forward to witnessing even greater works of God in the new sanctuary.

All glory and thanks be to God, who made every step of this journey beautiful in His time.
