Bronx Bible Seminar (The Gospel Continues to Reach New Hearts in New York)

From May 27–29, a Bible Seminar was held at Church of Revelation in the Bronx with Pastor Young Kook Park as the guest speaker.

This seminar was made possible through the united support and cooperation of the churches in Manhattan, New Jersey, Brooklyn, and Centereach. Together, the churches worked for the advancement of the gospel by distributing flyers, inviting new people to attend, and conducting Bible studies throughout the seminar period.

Day 1: Faith Comes by Hearing the Word of God

On the first evening, Pastor Park spoke about Martha and Mary. Although they believed they knew Jesus, they struggled to trust His word when He said that Lazarus would not remain dead. Many people want to believe only after they see with their eyes, but God teaches us that faith comes by hearing His Word. The message encouraged attendees to trust God's promises rather than their circumstances.

Day 2: The Law of Grace and Mercy

On the second evening, Pastor Park shared the story of the woman caught in adultery. According to the first law given through Moses, she deserved condemnation and death. However, Jesus met her with mercy and grace. The message highlighted how God desires to relate to us not through judgment, but through His grace and compassion in Christ.

Day 3: Trusting God's Promise

On the final evening, Pastor Park spoke about the ten spies who were sent to explore the Promised Land. Although God had already prepared everything according to His promise to Abraham, ten spies lost hope when they saw the strength of the people living in the land. Only Joshua and Caleb trusted God's promise, and because of their faith, they entered the Promised Land. The message challenged participants to live by faith in God's promises rather than by what they see.

One of the greatest blessings of the seminar was seeing pastors from various churches gain confidence in salvation through the gospel.

Pastor Leslie Remus of House of Prayer Church attended the first two days of the seminar and later had personal fellowship with Pastor Park. During their conversation, his wife testified that she now understood that she is righteous, holy, and complete before God. She expressed a sincere desire to share this gospel with many Pentecostal believers who are still struggling under condemnation and uncertainty.

Pastor Miguel Elibo of San Andres Presbyterian Church attended the final day of the seminar. He had previously heard the gospel through CLF gatherings and the Christmas Cantata. He shared that reading Pastor Ock Soo Park’s books had greatly changed his preaching. Pastor Elibo said he had never learned that John the Baptist served in the role of the high priest and was thankful to hear messages of grace that he had never encountered in seminary. Following the seminar, he invited Pastor Park to speak at his church.

Looking Forward with Hope

We are deeply grateful for the servants of God and the churches that continually lead us to live by faith. We believe this seminar is only the beginning of the greater work God desires to accomplish among the Hispanic people in the United States.

Like the five loaves of bread, our resources and abilities may appear small and insufficient. Yet God's work is never limited by human weakness. Throughout this seminar, we witnessed once again that God is able to do great things through those who trust in His promises.

We thank God for giving us hope in His Word and confidence in His promises, and we look forward to seeing how He will continue to work in the days ahead.
