El Salvador Evangelism Trip

God graciously opened the door for the gospel to be preached to many pastors and believers in El Salvador through the continued relationship with Pastor Orlando Delcid, who was connected through the Houston CLF.

Pastors’ Gathering at Confades Church

On Saturday morning, approximately 350 pastors and church leaders gathered at Confades Church, where Pastor Edwin serves. After breakfast, the pastors received a brief introduction to CLF, followed by a powerful message preached by Pastor Youngkook Park.

The message centered on Acts 10:15:

“What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.”

Pastor Park asked,“If a pig does not chew the cud, is it unclean?”The pastors answered, “No.”“Even if it does not chew the cud, if God declares it clean, it is clean. Likewise, even if we appear sinful, if God declares us clean, we are clean.”

Many pastors responded with a resounding “Amen,” clearly receiving the truth of the Word.

Sunday Service at Tabernáculo (Taber) Church

On Sunday morning, Pastor Park was invited to preach at Tabernáculo Church (Taber), one of the most influential churches in El Salvador. The senior pastor, Pastor Toby Jr., oversees universities, schools, radio stations, and TV stations, and the church holds five Sunday services with a sanctuary seating 5,000 people.

At the first service alone, approximately 3,000 people attended. Pastor Park preached the gospel of eternal redemption, and the congregation joyfully received the truth that they have been justified by the blood of Christ.

After the service, Pastor Toby Jr. warmly welcomed Pastor Park into his office, expressing great joy. He shared that Pastor Carlos Díaz from Los Angeles had been attending prayer meetings at the LA church for eight years, which had already opened his heart to the gospel message. Pastor Toby then invited Pastor Park to speak at their annual pastors’ conference, which gathers 5,000 pastors each year, and also expressed his desire to attend the World Conference in the United States. He personally exchanged contact information and requested sermon materials for radio and TV broadcasting. Pastor Park also presented him with the Mind Education book.

Gospel Preached Again at Confades Church

After the morning service, Pastor Park returned to Confades Church, where about 400 believers gathered. He preached the gospel in detail, and the congregation joyfully received assurance of salvation through Christ’s righteousness. Pastor Edwin shared that although he currently does not have a visa, he plans to prepare to attend next year’s events in the United States.

Evening Service at Berea Church in Santa Ana

In the afternoon, the team traveled about an hour to Santa Ana, where Berea Church, led by Pastor Iván, opened its doors. About 150 people attended the service. Though the church was located far from the city center, the believers received the Word with sincere hearts.

Pastor Park preached on the laying on of hands and eternal atonement, and the congregation listened attentively, gaining clear assurance of salvation. After the service, Pastor Iván shared during dinner that the gospel he heard was something he had never encountered before. Pastor Orlando also shared the gospel in greater detail, and Pastor Iván opened his heart fully, expressing his desire to travel to New York with his wife next year.

God Opening a New Gospel Door in El Salvador

Through this journey, we clearly witnessed how God is opening a new gospel path in El Salvador, a nation that once suffered greatly from violence and gang activity. Pastor Orlando, who received salvation through the Houston CLF connection, coordinated all of these events and expressed a strong desire to spread this gospel throughout El Salvador.

Although there is not yet a Good News Church in El Salvador, we praise the Lord who is faithfully working through CLF, and we sincerely hope that a church will be established so that the gospel may continue to be preached throughout the country.

All glory be to God, who faithfully advances the work of the gospel.
