The Gospel that lights up the world resounded in the Good News Manhattan Church, which was established through the promise of the servant of God.

A Fellowship Prepared by the Hand of God

This Bible seminar held a special meaning for the brothers and sisters of the Manhattan Church.Even during the difficult times of the pandemic, the church followed the servant of God’s word and moved into a new building. Over the past two years, construction continued daily from the basement to the roof, and throughout the process, they could see God’s helping hand. Just before the seminar, even the elevator construction was completed—allowing those with physical difficulties to freely come and hear the Word.

In every step, God sent helpers to accomplish the work beautifully. Ahead of the event, church members spent two weeks in early-morning evangelism training, first filling their hearts with the gospel.

Testimony from Pastor Choonghwan Song

“In Genesis 7, God told Noah to take both clean and unclean animals into the ark. But Noah and his family didn’t make any effort to bring them in themselves. They simply held onto God’s word and promise in their hearts—and God brought the animals to them.In the same way, before this seminar, we only established God’s Word in our hearts, and God sent prepared people to us. Every day, new people came to seek Jesus and joyfully listened to the Word.”— Pastor Choonghwan Song

Through evangelism training and street outreach, members were able to meet

many souls whom God had prepared in advance. Following the Lord’s heart—who delights in saving souls through what seems foolish in the eyes of the world—they shared the news of the seminar daily near subway stations, apartment complexes, and Lincoln City Hospital. Everywhere they went, they met people whom God had already prepared.

Moments When the Gospel Was Shared

During each session, Pastor Youngkook Park powerfully preached the gospel accomplished by God’s grace. He shared messages about Cain and Abel’s offering, the sin offering of the Old Testament Tabernacle, and the eternal redemption of Jesus Christ.

“In Luke 15, there’s the story of the lost sheep. Who would leave ninety-nine sheep just to look for one? This story expresses God’s heart—a heart that longs to find every lost soul.”

As attendees discovered the heart of God hidden in the Scriptures, they were filled with amazement and joy.Through the seminar, many came to understand that salvation is not through human deeds but through the grace of the gospel.

Changed Lives and Testimonies

Diana

“I live near the church but never realized this was a church until I saw the sign go up one day. That’s how I came to attend this seminar. Through the message of Cain and Abel, I realized I had been trying to approach God through my own deeds like Cain. I learned that God is pleased when we come through the blood of Jesus. Through the message of the Tabernacle, I gained the assurance that all my sins have been forgiven.”

Vincencia

“I had refused my friend’s invitations for two years, but after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, I was in despair and finally listened to the gospel. When I understood that Jesus had already forgiven all my sins, the tumor became not a reason for despair but for gratitude. Through this, I discovered God’s love for my soul.”

Ada

“In May, my mother passed away, and two months later, my first daughter died of heart disease. I lived in despair, but someone invited me to this seminar. Through the message, I came to know that my sins were forgiven. Now Jesus is my strength and my hope.”

Mauricio

“I came from El Salvador and was staying with my uncle in the Bronx. I met someone from the church on the street who shared the gospel with me. Even though I lived far away at a shelter in Brooklyn, I was moved by their invitation to attend. Through Pastor Youngkook Park’s sermon and Pastor Bangwon Park’s fellowship, I realized that my sins were completely forgiven and gave thanks.”

Jesus

“One night as I was returning home, I received a flyer in front of my apartment. Later, I attended Sunday service and, during the seminar, spoke with the pastor about my struggles. I had been in despair after injuring my leg and becoming wheelchair-bound, but I realized that God allowed this to bring me to church. The Word gave me deep comfort and hope.”

Grace

“Because of long-term depression, I often felt anxious and alone. One day, I sat crying in the bathroom, feeling that no one cared about me. Suddenly, a pastor I had met on the street called me and urged me to come to church to hear the Word. As I listened during the seminar, a peace I had never felt before came into my heart. I learned to believe in God and saw His helping hand in my life.”
