Testimony of Johnny Chang“From Gang Member to Follower of Jesus”

Johnny Chang grew up surrounded by violence, anger, and broken relationships. From a young age, he became involved in gang life, looking for respect, protection, and a sense of identity. But what the streets offered never filled the emptiness he felt inside.

Although he seemed strong on the outside, inside his life was filled with fear, guilt, and hopelessness. His choices led him into constant conflict and a deep sense of emptiness. Over time, Johnny realized that this lifestyle had no real future.

Everything changed when he heard the message of Jesus Christ. The idea of forgiveness, grace, and a new life challenged him—especially the thought that God could love someone with his past. In a moment of honesty, Johnny decided to surrender his life to Jesus and ask Him to take control.

From that day on, his life began to change. He walked away from the gang, left old habits behind, and started living with a new purpose. Where there had once been violence and hatred, there was now peace, faith, and a desire to help others not repeat his mistakes.

Today, Johnny shares his testimony to show that no one is too far gone for God, and that in Jesus there is always forgiveness, hope, and a new beginning.
