Albany, NY Bible Seminar

By the grace of God and through the guidance of the church, we were blessed to hold our May Bible Seminar with Pastor Kevin Johnson.

As we prepared for the seminar, we were greatly encouraged by the message shared by the New York pastor during the outdoor service at Mahanaim. He spoke from 2 Corinthians 9:6:

"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

Through this verse, we were reminded that nothing done for the gospel is ever wasted. In the gospel, we do not simply give—we plant. When we sow the seed of the gospel, we can have confidence that God will give the increase, and that none of our labor is in vain.

The pastor also spoke about Andrew, who brought five barley loaves and two fish to Jesus. Once they were placed in Jesus’ hands, He was able to do what no one else could. These words gave us great hope. Regardless of our circumstances or limitations, when we entrust everything to God, He is able to accomplish His will. The time and effort spent preparing for the Bible seminar were not wasted; they were seeds of the gospel being planted in Albany. We were reminded that we are living within God's promise of establishing 500 churches across America.

God also blessed us with beautiful weather throughout the preparation period. For two weeks, we were able to evangelize through door-to-door visits in our neighborhood and by distributing flyers at bus stops and local stores. During this time, we witnessed God connecting us with many people who showed interest in visiting our church and hearing the gospel.

By God's grace, Pastor Kevin was able to meet several local pastors. Through fellowship, their hearts became more open to the gospel being shared throughout the Capital Region. In addition, Mrs. Judy Johnson was able to conduct a Mind Lecture during our Saturday youth program, which was a great encouragement to the young people.

During the seminar, several new guests attended. At the same time, the brothers and sisters of the Albany church were strengthened through the fellowship and the messages Pastor Kevin shared. The seminar became a precious opportunity not only for newcomers to hear the gospel, but also for the church members to gain faith and hope.

We are deeply thankful for the guidance of the church and for sending God's servant to share the heart of the church with us. We believe this is a season of sowing the gospel in Albany. God is working in this city because we are standing upon His promise for America.

As we continue to plant the seeds of the gospel, we look forward with faith to the abundant fruit that God will bring forth in His time.
