Memphis Bible Seminar

By the grace of God and through the guidance of the church, we were blessed to hold a Bible Seminar with Pastor Terry.

As we prepared for the seminar, we had the opportunity to listen to a message shared by the New York pastor during his trip to Ecuador. In 2 Corinthians 9:6, it is written:
"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."
The pastor explained that although there did not appear to be many visible results immediately following the recent Bible Crusade, every flyer that was distributed, every hour invested, and every effort made became seeds for future gospel works, including the Christmas Cantata Tour and many other gospel activities throughout the United States.

Through this message, we were reminded that nothing in the gospel is simply given; everything is planted. When we sow the seeds of the gospel, we can have confidence that God will give the increase and that none of our labor will be wasted.
To prepare for the seminar, we went door-to-door in our neighborhoods and distributed flyers near local schools. During the first week, our church brothers and sisters participated in evangelism together, and during the second week, we worked alongside the evangelism team. Throughout this time, we were able to witness God connecting us with many people who showed interest in our church and in hearing the gospel.

While doing door-to-door evangelism, we met a man named Elijah who had not attended church for many years. We shared the gospel with him, and after the Bible seminar, he attended our Sunday service. We were grateful to see God working in his heart.
A young man also attended the Saturday evening service. When we told him that many flyers had been distributed for the seminar, he smiled and said, “I guess you handed out a lot of flyers so that I could come.” He shared that he greatly enjoyed both the seminar and the gospel message, and said that he plans to attend church whenever he is not working.
By God's grace, Pastor Terry was able to stay with us through Saturday, which allowed us to hold our first discipleship training session at the Memphis church. Not only did our brothers and sisters attend, but members from the Birmingham church and attendees from Pastor Irma’s church also joined us. Through this fellowship, many were able to hear the gospel more clearly.

It was also a valuable opportunity for several newly connected members from both Memphis and Birmingham to ask questions and learn more deeply about the gospel.

Throughout the seminar, Pastor Terry emphasized that faith does not depend on our own strength, but on the truth of God's Word. He explained that the good news is not based on how faithful or diligent we are, but on the completed work and truth of what God has already accomplished.
This message brought peace and rest to the hearts of many first-time guests, as well as great comfort and assurance to the brothers and sisters.

Approximately fifteen new people attended the seminar to hear the gospel. We believe that the Word of God that was planted in the hearts of both visitors and church members will continue to bring transformation to their lives and bear abundant fruit for the gospel in Memphis.

We thank God for His grace, for the guidance of the church, and for allowing us to witness His work through this seminar. We look forward with hope to the fruit that He will continue to produce in Memphis through the gospel.
