God has led the youths of Good News Manhattan Church to host the “Youth Bible Seminar” every Thursday during Youth Night throughout the month of February. This seminar is a gathering fully organized and led by our youth brothers and sisters, who have taken complete responsibility for every aspect of its preparation and execution. Pastor Song has guided this initiative with a heartfelt hope for the youth to grow in faith and preach the gospel of salvation they have received. Through this process, the youth have come to recognize their limitations and learn to rely on God, who is able to accomplish all things.
Following the first Youth Bible Seminar last week, the second week was held at The Hub on the first floor of the church. From the MC and worship praise to the salvation testimonies and sermon, every part of the program was prepared and led by the youth themselves.
God is leading our youth to grow in faith, moving beyond their own thoughts and comforts to accomplish greater works through the gospel. As they prepared the MC segments, worship, personal testimonies of salvation, and the message, we witnessed God uniting their hearts as one. They shared that while they once relied on their own reasoning and what they saw with their own eyes, they have now come to believe the Word of God—that Jesus died for the sins of the world and through His blood their sins have been completely washed away and blotted out.
Sister Jacky and Sister Elyssa shared the personal pain and struggles they experienced while growing up. They testified that their unhappiness and sorrow did not stem from their circumstances, but from not knowing God and not believing that Jesus Christ had already borne their sins and all their burdens. Now, as they walk with Jesus in their hearts, we were able to witness how God has transformed their lives into something beautiful and blessed.
Brother Edrick delivered a message on the righteousness accomplished through the work of Jesus Christ. He preached that by sacrificing His Son, God eternally cleansed our sins—regardless of who we are or what we have done—and established His promise for all people. Righteousness does not come from our own ability or from actions we deem right, but from believing in what God has promised and fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
The youth personally invited their families and friends to attend the seminar, making meaningful fellowship and opportunities to share the gospel. Through this process, their gratitude and hope for the gospel have continued to grow.
In addition, officers from the New York City Police Department visited the church after noticing youth activities continuing into the evening while they were patrolling the area. The officers, who are part of the NYPD Explorer Program—a youth development initiative—expressed that they were deeply impressed by our ministry and shared their desire to collaborate in fostering a bright and safe community. They proposed continued communication and future partnership.
We clearly witnessed that God personally guided every step of this Youth Bible Seminar. We look forward with expectation to how He will continue His great work of saving souls through the remaining two weeks of the seminar.
