The table of showbread is not the place to pour blood or sacrifice an offering to God. It is a place where we can sit face to face with God, eat and drink, and enjoy each other’s company. This represents being happy and joyful with God.

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

God wants us to have a relationship with him where we share joy and happiness, while we are in Jesus Christ and he enters our hearts. God wants to communicate with us. After we receive the forgiveness of sins, God wants to talk with us, share love, and eat and drink together. For that to happen, God pours his image into us.
