The reason God made the border that is as wide as a hand is to keep the bread that is arranged on top of the table of showbread from falling off the table, even if it was slippery. The arranged bread do not have to do well to stop themselves from falling to the ground, but they are receiving the protection of the border. The twelve loaves of bread represent the twelve tribes of Israel, and God was protecting them.
The bread on top of the table of showbread are not falling, not because of their hard work, but because the border is there. In the same way, saved people do spiritual life, not through their effort, but through the protection of God. Once the bread is on top of the table of showbread, it has no choice but to be protected. Just like that, God is protecting the born-again people until they go to heaven.
Our spiritual life does not depend on our effort, but on God. The servants who were used by God were not used because of their strengths, but they were used because they were protected by God.
