There is no one in the world whose inside and outside are as different as the inside and outside of Jesus. Even though people have nothing inside, they decorate themselves fancifully. Jesus looked unappealing on the outside, but we cannot describe how precious and beautiful he was inside. So let us not just peek through the door of the tabernacle, but we should enter boldly through the door and see all the brilliant shining gold that is inside the Holy Place and Most Holy Place.
Many people met Jesus while he was here on earth, but Jesus Christ did not become the Lord to all of them. Many people came before Jesus, but they did not receive the forgiveness of sins or experience the glory or joy of heaven. Because they were only looking at him from the outside.
The scribes and Pharisees dragged the woman who was caught committing adultery to Jesus. They thought that they themselves were clean. Their hearts were more evil and dirty than the woman who was caught committing adultery. But they had never discovered their own sins before. So they were outside of Jesus; they had never once entered into Jesus. As the woman’s sins were revealed, she went from being outside Jesus to entering inside Jesus, and she experienced Jesus.
