Jesus could not sin while he was on earth, and the reason was so he could give himself as a holy offering of God on the altar. In the days of the Old Testament, the people of Israel had to absolutely give an offering that had no marks or flaws when they gave their burnt offerings, peace offerings, or sin offerings. If they gave an offering that had a limp or was blind or had scars, God said he would not accept that.
When they took a lamb for the Passover in the time of the Old Testament, they chose a lamb that had no marks or flaws from their flock of animals on the 11th day of the 1st month. Then they took the lamb to sacrifice it on the 14th day, when the sun was going down. For 4 days from the 11th to the 14th, they had to carefully check the lamb they had chosen to make sure it had no flaws at all, so they could give it as an offering. Jesus lived a flawless, sinless life for 33 years on earth. Of course, Jesus had no evil or sin inside him, so he could not sin.
Everyone in the world committed sin inside of Adam, so no one could become a holy offering. That is why Jesus Christ came to earth with the body of a human. When God saw Jesus, he was so satisfied that he said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” God had to judge man and curse him, but he killed Jesus on the cross and made man righteous. And he said, “Their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
