Satan works so we have the heart that almost all our sins are forgiven, but some sins strongly push our hearts down and it seems like those sins are not forgiven. “Jesus died on the cross, but did he forgive this really great sin, too? Maybe he forgave the small sins, but he probably did not forgive this sin.” Satan ties us down to these thoughts. But no matter what heart we have, in God’s word is the power to untie us from every thought we have.
This is what the bronze laver means. In the tabernacle, we can see things that have a definite size. The ark of the covenant and the altar of incense also have measurements. There is meaning in every number of their sizes. But the bronze laver has no size. God did not put a limit on how much he forgave our sins. No matter what sin we committed, or how great of a sin it is, the blood of Jesus Christ can wash them all away.
The bronze laver is the place where the high priest washes his hands and feet to enter into the Holy Place. After we receive the forgiveness of sins, our hearts are pressed down by this and that sin that we commit in our spiritual life. Just like when the high priest comes to the bronze laver, the Bible is saying that this is when we wash our hearts with the faith that “The blood of Christ has also washed this sin.”
