One time, Peter asked Jesus, “If a brother sins against me, how many times should I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said, “Not seven times, but even 70 times seven times. Don’t put a limit on how many times you should forgive him; forgive him any amount of times.” The same Lord who told Peter to forgive his brother over and over also does not put a limit on how many sins he has forgiven us.
Original sin and actual sin were ideas made by man. Those are words that Satan made up. Jesus Christ did not categorize or divide which sins he forgave or not when he hung on the cross to wash our sins away. On the cross, the sins of the past, the sins of the present, and the sins of the future cannot exist. He is saying he washed all our sins away.
Jesus was afraid that there would be people who would feel pricked by their conscience after they commit great sins, and so they would be unable to come forward to the Lord. So he did not put a limit on how many sins and flaws he washed for us. To show us his heart that he forgave our sins with limitless power, he did not give a size for the bronze laver.
