Bronze represents judgment. The women who gathered at the door of the tabernacle saw themselves in the bronze mirror, and this means they saw they will be judged. Every time they looked at the mirror, they were full of worry for their face and they put effort in trying to fix themselves. For us as well, the more we look at how we are, the more our flaws and sins appear, so we have no choice but to be anxious, tormented, and disappointed.
Even if we have sinned, we must go forward with faith in the Lord as we look to Jesus Christ. Satan makes us try hard not to sin and so we obsess over sin. Satan makes us feel guilty and makes us determine and resolve ourselves to not sin. While that determination is alive and strong, we cannot remember Jesus.
If we are full of the thoughts of the Lord, the Lord gives us the strength to overcome pain. He allows us to overcome the temptations of sin, and overcome trials and troubles. When that happens, even if we do not try to sin, without ourselves even realizing it we will be far from sin. If you get closer to a heater, you will be warm, but if you are far away from the heater, you will be cold. If we get closer to Jesus, then naturally we will become far from sin and the world.
