The reason we cannot be used powerfully, even when we have received the forgiveness of sins and are serving Jesus, is because we do not throw away our desires and are captured by our desires. When we do not follow the will of God and follow our desires, we fall into a weak and powerless life that has nothing to do with the power of Jesus, even though he lives inside us.
Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords but he is first of all a true servant. So he knelt before God and did not seek his own happiness but only pleased God. So God filled Jesus with all authority and power, and made everyone bow to Jesus. Those who have received the forgiveness of sins, are born again, who have Jesus living in them, and who want to be captured by the power of the Lord do not follow their thoughts. They must become servants who discover the will of God, and obey and submit to his will. That is when the abundant power of God becomes their power for the first time.
Even while he is the King of Kings who is shown through the door of the tabernacle, Jesus was the perfect servant of God. Likewise, I hope you all become perfect servants of God and workers who are captured by his power and fulfill his will.
