No matter how beautiful the lampstand was made, if you do not make the lamps and light them, the lampstand is pointless.
Exodus 25:37 “You shall make seven lamps for it, and they shall arrange its lamps so that they give light in front of it.”
The lampstand was made to light up the darkness in the Holy Place so the priests can see what is around them when they serve God. The lampstand is pointing to Jesus Christ, who is the Light. Jesus Christ plays the role of the Light, which lights up the way we must go on to serve God.
If there was no lampstand in the Holy Place, the priests would not know how to serve God in the darkness, and they would bump into something, and they would fall over. Through the light of the seven lamp, the priests could serve God properly in the Holy Place.
If Jesus Christ, who is the Light, does not dwell in our hearts, then even if we want to serve God, we will never be able to tell what works are spiritual, and we can only fall into the wrong place. We can tell what is clearly in front of us and go forward through Jesus Christ, not our own wisdom or power, if Jesus Christ, who is the Light in our hearts, shines and lights up our hearts.
