In John chapter 9, there is the story of the man who was blind from birth. Even if the light shined, he was blind and could not see it. He had to always live in darkness. One day, he met Jesus, went to the pool of Siloam, washed his eyes, and he came back seeing. After his eyes were opened and he could see the light, he did not fit with the will of the religious people and could not get along with them.

False religions are active in the world today as well. When we did not have Jesus Christ in our hearts, we had no problem staying in those false religions. But when Jesus Christ, who is the Light, came upon us, we could no longer stay in those dark and false religions.

After that man was kicked out, he met Jesus once more. Once he was separated from the power of darkness, he could live a life of walking with Jesus Christ, who is the Light. Our hearts get brighter when Jesus Christ comes into our hearts, so we get further away from the things that belong to darkness, and we can be free from sin.
