Tabernacle Lectures (113) The church’s calling

Today, the church has the role of being the light of the world. People who discover the light of Christ in the true church of God no longer belong to darkness but become people of light that shine the light and give glory to God. But the people who say they believe in Jesus but are part of darkness try to escape the darkness by themselves.

People hated it when Jesus became the light that shined on the world. They were jealous of Jesus and spoke evil about him. And they crucified him on the cross. The darkness hates the light, so if we follow Jesus who is the Light, we will be persecuted.

The true church must shine brightly on the dark world to brighten the hearts of people who are part of the world religions. It must allow them to see the light and turn back to God. The church’s calling is to let people come to the light.
