God tells us about the materials used for all the parts of the tabernacle, but he did not talk about the material used for the pillars, which were used to make the curtains of the courtyard outside the tabernacle. Being preciously used by God like the pillar, in the same way, is not through us having some human qualifications. Rather, it is possible when we are emptied of everything inside us and filled with the things of God.
God used Moses to save the Israel people from Egypt. Moses was full of the learning and knowledge of the world. God sent him to the wilderness of Midian, took out all the things of the world from him, and made him a servant who could be used according to the will of God. The apostle Paul was the same. God trained and made his people according to his ways. The people used as pillars in the temple were not people who had any human qualifications.
The thought that you can become a pillar of the temple because you learned a lot of things is an arrogant thought. On the other hand, the thought that you cannot be used by God because you are ignorant is also an arrogant thought. Today, if God were to lift us up and use us, we would be useless with the things we have. The one God uses is not someone who has some quality. If that person’s heart is emptied and becomes captured by God, God refines him and trains him so he is used as a precious worker, and through him, God gets the glory.
