Exodus 30:1 “And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it.”
Inside the Holy Place, there is the table of showbread, the lampstand, and the altar of incense. After you pass the table of showbread and lampstand, the altar of incense is at the door of the curtain that leads to the Most Holy Place. After the altar of incense is made of acacia wood, it is covered with pure gold. Every morning, Aaron burned sweet-smelling incense on the altar of incense. This altar of incense represents Jesus Christ, who is our mediator.
As we live a life of faith, there are times we are tempted and tested, and there are times we also sin and fall. Every time that happens, we can get up because Jesus is with us, and he is giving prayers of intercession for us. No matter how our image is, Jesus is our high priest who has personally taken charge of all the things we lack in going to God.
Jesus personally makes intercession and prays for us before God. Through his intercession and prayers, Jesus helps our weaknesses and becomes our strength.
Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
