How can people who have sinned come boldly before God? The answer is grace. Grace is not for someone who is perfect and has everything, but a lacking, weak, and awful person can receive grace. If you do not have any flaws, then you are not qualified to receive grace.

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Who can confidently go forward before the throne of grace? It is the one who has sinned and made mistakes. When we sin after receiving the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ, the helping hand of God’s grace holds us up. We have to receive the grace of the Lord’s blood that was shed on the cross, it is the same for the sins we sinned before our redemption, and for the sins we sinned after our redemption. So even though we are weak and lacking, God receives us happily when we go forward to him with his grace.

David was afraid to come before God after he sinned with Uriah’s wife. We can see that the more he tried to cover his sins with his own ways, the more and more he fell into deep sin. One day the prophet Nathan appeared and after rebuking David, he told him, “The Lord also has put away your sin. (2 Samuel 12:13) David had been far from God, but he was able to restore his relationship with God.
