The east side of the tabernacle has a door that is 20 cubits long and walls that are 15 cubits long on both sides of the door. The 20 cubit long door is particularly sewn with blue, purple, red, and fine linen, which is clearly different from the white linen walls. It is made so that anyone can easily find the door. The height of the tabernacle was 5 cubits, or about 2 meters 25 centimeters. This is not just a height that a normal person cannot see over, but it is also a height that that cannot be climbed. In other words, if you want to enter the Holy Place, you cannot do it by climbing over the wall. You must enter through the door. This door represents Jesus Christ.

John 10:9 says “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.” Without going through the door, which is Jesus Christ, no one can gain salvation. Most religions emphasize living a good life, faithful and true. But the spiritual life of believing in Jesus is different from religion. Religion demands that you live a good and moral life. But Jesus Christ says to accept him because he saved us from sin.

Just like we cannot enter into any building without going in through the door, the reason the Lord said, “I am the door,” is to teach us that we cannot arrive at any place God wants us to be without going through Jesus Christ. But the many religions of this world try to reach some state through their own good actions without Jesus.

Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

That is why the only way for us to receive salvation from our sins is by the grace of God’s son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for us. We can never be saved by any other way..
