Jesus did not decorate his flesh or make it look beautiful to show the glory of God. The acacia wood is expressing this aspect of Jesus Christ. I searched the whole Bible to find out what Jesus looked like. The Bible does not say anything about his appearance except in Isaiah 53, “he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.”

The people who say they are Jesus or those who say they believe in Jesus try to show off their greatness or beauty, but that is not what Jesus did. When I see that, my heart aches. We cannot call such people true servants of God. This is embarrassing to say, but when I first started ministering, instead of trying to reveal Jesus, I also tried to be a pastor that many people would like. But I discovered that the more I did that, the more my heart was far from Jesus.

So I thought what should I do in order to become a servant that God can accept with joy? I realized that I was so awful, shabby, and worthless that God’s glory was greater, so much that people would say, “How can God work in a person like that? It’s amazing how God is working inside a terrible person like him!”
