When God made the tabernacle, God did not allow the thoughts or ways of man to be included in any part of it, even the smallest things of the tabernacle. So when Moses went up to Mount Sinai, God showed him the temple in heaven, and He told Moses to make the tabernacle according to the pattern, and build it according to the size He commanded.

Exodus 27:1 “You shall make an altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide—the altar shall be square—and its height shall be three cubits.”

Like it says here, God clearly set the size of the altar and told Moses to make it according to this size.

Exodus 39:43 “as the Lord had commanded, just so they had done it. And he blessed them.”

The reason God blessed Israel was because He had showed them his will, and every single part of the tabernacle, without exception, was made according to his will.
