God told Aaron’s sons to wash their hands and feet so they do not die, but what does “die” mean here? Even while we are in communication with God and the spiritual life within us is alive and working, if darkness comes or a wall forms and we are cut off from God, we cannot receive his grace. And so, our spirit starts to die.
God is worried that Satan will deceive us after we commit sin, that Satan will put a wall in our hearts between us and God, and that we will fall into death. To stop that, God prepared the bronze laver. God already knew that walls will form between us and Him, even after we are born again.
And God has already taken care of the sins we commit after we are born again. God wants sin to no longer block our relationship with Him, but not only that, he wants us to live a blessed spiritual life through the power that comes from Him.
