Before the women at the door of the tabernacle gave their mirrors to God, they had to decide: should I give up my mirror or not? The first thing that happened after they gave their mirrors is that they could not see their flaws. We do not have to confess and fix every single flaw that we have. But the bronze laver is there to make us realize that our sins have already been washed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
One of the ways Satan weakens Christians today is he makes us fall into sin and makes us mourn about the sin and he makes us labor to fix ourselves. I lived an evil life before I was born again. So I tried to fix my life and was determined to do that, but I discovered that the more I tried to do that, the more and more I fell into sin.
Like the women who gave their mirrors to God, we must turn our eyes from looking at ourselves to looking up to the cross. Satan tries to make us not look at the cross, and makes us look at ourselves, who have many flaws every day. He makes us look at our flaws, so we are unable to go boldly before God and we stay in darkness. Now let us not look at ourselves any longer, but we must look up to Jesus Christ who was nailed and died on the cross for us.
