If you look in John 8, a woman was caught in the act of adultery, taken by the Pharisees and scribes, and brought to Jesus. Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” Once they faced the true light, the scribes and Pharisees remembered their sins and one by one, starting from the oldest to the youngest, they dropped their rocks and left. And then, Jesus said,

John 8:12 “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Jesus Christ is the light of our spiritual lives, so if we meet him, our eyes will open and we will clearly realize our spiritual state. The tabernacle itself represents Jesus, and each piece of equipment in the tabernacle signifies Jesus. The lampstand is showing us that Jesus is the light of life.
