If you read the verses about the lampstand, it is not just perfectly revealing Jesus Christ. It is also telling us the true image of those who have been saved by Christ. The lampstand was made from a piece of gold into the shape God wanted. The shaft comes out from the base, and then there are the branches, the flowers that look like almond blossoms, and the ornamental knobs. The shape of the lampstand was made in the hands of Aholiab and Bezalel.
Those who have been saved are also changing into the image God wants. They are not changing through their effort, but they change through the Holy Spirit according to the will of God. The six branches coming out of the shaft are supporting the seven lamps. But if you set it up just like that, it will not stand, but fall. If the lampstand falls, then the oil on the lamps will spill and the light will go out.
The part that has the most important role, making the lampstand stand, is the base. The base makes it stand strong. Starting from the base, the shaft and then the branches stand up, and the flowers and lamps lay on those. These parts make one lampstand. The base shows us Jesus Christ, who is the rock.
