Tabernacle Lectures (98) The base of the lampstand

The base of the lampstand gives the lampstand weight so that it does not fall and stand strong. Just like that, Jesus has enough weight to make saved people stand strong and not fall. He is holding onto them. So, Christians can more than overcome any hardships or persecutions they face ‘through Jesus who loved us’ and live a life that glorifies God.

Jesus is guiding us to the shape he wants us, not the shape we want. Therefore, if you are a born again saint, you are being changed into the shape of Christ, whether you want it or not, and without you even knowing it. I have heard testimonies of many brothers and sisters who were amazed when they saw they had changed so much without even realizing it after 1 or 2 years passed after they received salvation.

Many people, when they read the Bible, they accept its words like, “Become the light of the world; become the salt.” But the Bible said, “Be the light of the world.” It did not say, “Become the light.” In the hands of Aholiab and Bezalel, a shaft and branches appeared from the piece of gold. Even if saved people do not try to do it, God will make them that way.
